I am Carlos Ortiz, a dedicated Hairstylist at Grove Salon with over 30 years of experience in the beauty industry. Since beginning my professional journey in 1995, I have honed my craft through comprehensive training in Puerto Rico, where I earned both my basic and advanced cosmetology licenses. I further refined my skills at the prestigious Vidal Sasson Academy and have continually advanced my expertise through specialized workshops and hands-on salon experience.
My passion for hairstyling stems from the joy it brings me and the fulfillment I find in helping clients feel more confident. I view hairstyling as both an art and a meaningful way to connect with individuals, embracing the unique challenge of bringing each client’s vision to life. I thrive on the ever-evolving nature of the beauty industry, continuously learning new techniques and trends to provide the highest quality services.

I am a licensed cosmetologist in both Florida and Puerto Rico, and I hold certifications in various advanced hair treatments, including color theory, Brazilian blowouts, and keratin treatments. I am particularly passionate about using Aveda Gloss, a product I highly recommend for its ability to enhance shine and condition hair naturally.
Outside of my professional life, I enjoy painting and writing poetry, activities that keep my creativity flowing and inspire my work as a stylist. I also love spending time at the beach, enjoying music and movies, and exploring new culinary experiences.
